Since the words of angels are stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience receives a just recompense of reward: how shall we escape, if we neglect God’s great salvation? It was spoken of at the first of our Lord’s earthly ministry and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him. God also bore witness, both with signs and wonders, and with diverse miracles and gifts of the Holy Ghost.
What did the angels say? The first to appear to the shepherds declared, Fear not: for, behold, i bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. for unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord (Luke 2:10-11).
When a multitude of the heavenly host joined him, they were praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men (Luke 2:14).
What did the Lord Jesus say of his ministry? He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known the Father also…(John 14:6-7a).
What did God the Father say? God said of Jesus: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him (Matthew 17:5b). Unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of thy kingdom (Hebrews 1:8).
What does the New Testament say? Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:11-13).
How then shall they call on him in whom they have no believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace,, and bring glad tidings of good things (Romans 10:14-15)!
To quote John the Baptist regarding the Lord Jesus Christ: Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world (John 1:29). Receive Jesus as your Saviour, and have a Merry Christmas!
