With the passing of my wife, Shirley, came various items to which I am attending. One has been to complete necessary information for the Department of Social Services. That required to travel to Cordele, GA, for a few days. While there, I was able to visit several old friends and to speak with others by phone. I also had the joy of being at my home church, Third Street Baptist Church, to visit with the good folk there and to spend time with my pastor, Rev. James Kelley. He extended the privilege of preaching at the church Wednesday night.

I thank the Lord for their prayers, cards, visits while Shirley was still with me, and for Pastor Kelley driving up to South Carolina to the funeral service.
