We hope to be able to spend Thanksgiving weekend with our family in Pigeon Forge, TN, this coming year.  My desire is to set memories for our children and grandchildren of their Mother and Grandmother, who is known to the grandkids affectionately as "Gree."   This is Shirley's name, given to her by the oldest of our children's children.  Shirley's cancer is once again increasing in its activity.  The oncologist told us Tuesday (September 26th) that he would set up a CT-scan after our October revival to assess what changes have occurred.  Her current CEA number is 467.2 (the higher the number, the more active the cancer).  She has miraculously started her third year of chemo in August.  Her next treatment is scheduled for October 18th.  We plan on attending Freedom Baptist Church during that stay.  Pastor Ed Parton and his wife are dear friends.
